Release by COACHFORWOMEN 2004-08-04, COACHFORWOMEN - Unlocking Your Full Potential: Co-Active coaching is the key to success for women on the go Miami-based professional development company, CoachForWomen.org, shares the latest strategies on how women can explore their potential to achieve balance and fulfillment. The idea of hiring a personal life coach was once thought to be reserved strictly for mega stars like Oprah Winfrey and Demi Moore. Not so today. With the increasing popularity of television programs like NBC’s The Apprentice, coaching has hit the mainstream. Women can now hire a coach to assist with everything from business decisions to increasing spirituality. Miami, FL (PRWEB) August 4, 2004 -- And according to Nitu Gandhi, owner of Miami, Florida-based CoachForWomen.org, now is the perfect time for women to consider Co-Active Coaching. “Co-active life and spiritual coaching is for women who want an extraordinary life. If you want an extraordinary life, you have to set extraordinary expectations and a co-active coach can help,” states Gandhi. And she should know. Her own life story reads like a combination international travelogue, business success manual, and how-to guide on creating your ideal career. Born in India, Gandhi attended the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. After graduation she spent several years in New York City as a successful advertising and marketing researcher, then did a stint in Amsterdam, The Netherlands as a public relations entrepreneur and business developer. Now living in Miami, she has launched her own company, CoachForWomen.org and is in the process of writing her first book outlining success strategies for women. “To best assist women in creating a balanced life I use a blending of Co-active coaching and spiritual insight. I am fully committing my time, passion and experience to assist others in creating their own successes,” declares Gandhi.
The value of Co-active life coaching is becoming more evident in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and across Europe. In large part, this is due to the collaborative, accessible, and holistic approach of the Co-active model. Unlike other forms of coaching, which tend to have a limited or specialized focus, such as business coaching, Co-active coaching lays four cornerstones as a foundation and uses five distinct contexts for each individual client. The four cornerstones are:
1. Viewing the client as naturally creative, resourceful, and whole
2. Addressing the client’s whole life
3. Ensuring the coaching agenda comes from the client
4. Forming the coach-client relationship as a strategic and designed alliance
The five contexts used in Co-active coaching are also key factors in helping clients define and achieve their desired levels of success. “Co-active coaching uses five contexts as guidelines for the coach to best assist each client,” explains Gandhi. “These are listening, intuition, curiosity, action learning, and self-management. Using the contexts as focus points allows the coach and client to form collaborative or co-active connection points.”
If Gandhi’s experience and growing number of clients are any indication, combining Co-active coaching with spiritual introspection certainly seems to be a great way for women to truly explore their potential and achieve personal and professional success.
